Domain Connect Service Provider Setup¶
Domain Connect is an open standard that makes it easy for a user to configure DNS for a domain running at a DNS provider (such as us) to work with a service running at an independent Service Provider. The user can do so without having to understand any of the complexities of DNS.
Glauca supports Domain Connect, and this page details what a Service Provider must do to use Glauca's Domain Connect implementation.
Warning
Glauca only supports the synchronous Domain Connect API. We do not currently support the asynchronous procedure. If this is an absolute must for you, please getting in touch at hello@glauca.digital so we can discuss your options.
Publishing a template¶
Your connect template must be published in the Domain Connect GitHub Repository.
- Make a fork of this repository.
- Add your template, according to the Domain Connection specification.
- Make a Pull Request to merge your new template into the primary repository.
Tip
You can check the validity of the template using Domain Connect's linter.
Once your template is merged into the GitHub repository, we will sync it to our systems within 48 hours. You are not required to contact us for this to happen, it happens automatically.
Within 48 hours of your template being in the GitHub repository, it will be available for your customers to use.
Future updates to templates in the repository will be synced in the same way.
